Macro Feather…

Where does the time go? It is Friday and a week has gone by since my last post! One of the things that happens on a Friday is Laura’s Macro Friday challenge.

I have had this Guinea Fowl feather for a couple of years and thought it would make an interesting macro photo for this week’s challenge. I tried taking photos of it on a couple of different backgrounds i.e. plain white paper, a red Masai blanket and finally decided that the page of a book would make the most interesting background. It is sort of appropriate to have this as a backdrop because, in ages past, people used to use feathers as writing implements.

This photo is in “colour”. I tried a B&W edit, but strangely enough it did not look as nice as it does in colour…
