Weekly Photo Challenge: Family

“Family’ makes me think of the various members of my own family. This photo was taken last October, when my daughter was visiting us with her precious little girl. They live in the UK, far from us in South Africa, so it was pretty special for us to get some photos of Chloe with her great-grandmother.

We did take a photo of the four generations, but I love this one showing the oldest lady and the littlest lady in our family…

Joy…

This is a sight that brings joy to a mother’s heart, and a fathers’ too, though I think he is beginning to see £/$ signs coming his way and not in the way he would like 🙂 …

My daughter got engaged over the weekend. At the moment, I cannot see the ring in the metal/flesh as we are not living in the same country. As a result I cannot lay claim to having taken the photo. I am not sure if the photo was taken by the fiancé or fiancée 🙂 but it was emailed to me. If I had to choose a ring style, that is pretty much what I would choose…I think it is gorgeous!

No wedding date has been set, but I can see what is going to consume my thoughts over the next year!!!

Conquering…

Love conquers all things.

Yesterday evening Tom was trying to conquer and kill all the flies that were buzzing around, as we were sitting outside having a sundowner with a friend who came for dinner.  His modus operandi  was certainly not love, it was the rather more mundane fly-swatter! I was in fear for my glass of wine…I thought it was going to be crushed instead of the flies! My beloved would take great delight in telling you that he managed to get rid of most of the little pests, despite my doubts.

The sun setting over the roof of the building nearby took my mind off the pests for a few minutes…

I have finally worked out to change the header at the top of the blog 🙂
